DENDROBIUM NOBILE HYBRIDS
This year has again seen especially prolific blooms on all of my nobile-type Dendrobiums. These hardy outdoor-growing orchids like the winter chill, but need to be protected from the rain. They should receive very little water (I mist them a little when the desert winds drive the humidity down, but otherwise ignore them, under an overhang so that they stay dry) and no food from about the beginning of November until mid-January, when buds appear. In the summer, they should receive low-nitrogen food until about August, when feeding can be cut back, and nitrogen reduced to zero.

A very cute miniature nobile-type hybrid. While most of the nobile hybrids are 12-24 inches (30-60 cm) or more, this plant is only about 5 inches ( 13 cm) tall, but full of flowers.
