Roberta's
Orchid Central
|
I love orchids. All kinds of orchids. And some of them seem to like me.
On this site, I would like to share some of my favorites.
"Orchid Central" finally outgrew my condo, and I have moved to a house with a large yard, in the same general area. The orchids are MUCH happier. I am working on a major revision of this web site, so do check back. But for a start, here are a few photos of my new patio, with some of the orchids that grow and bloom there.
Few of these plants grow in my greenhouse,
and I have owned all of these at least 6 months,, so I can speak with some confidence
about their response to my growing conditions. I live close to the Pacific coast,
and frost is extremely rare. (But it happens sometimes...Check out
Wintertime (Vanda City) to see some of the exceptions to the
"always outside" rule.)
Daytime temperatures rarely go above 85 degrees
F. (30 degrees C.) Humidity is moderate.
