Cymbidium Orchids 1 I live in one of the most ideal climates in the world for Cymbidium orchids. These are the easiest orchids for me to grow, and there are many fine growers nearby from whom to obtain these spectacular plants.
Cymbidium Orchids 2 No wonder that I have lots of them!

Vandadeous Orchids

My vandaceous collection. Some like the shade, some like the sun. Some spend the winter indoors and some don't mind the cold. But they have some of the most brilliant colors of orchid-dom.

Wintertime Vanda City

How to take care of the more tender Vandaceous orchids (and others) in the wintertime? They get the spare bathroom. See how I grow them in my condo. Here I also identify which ones need this extra bit of tender loving care.

Nobile-type Dendrobiums

Wonderful colors, reliable blooms, and easy care characterize this group of orchids. A little special attention (or rather, lack of it) in winter guarantees lots of spring flowers.

Colmanara Wildcats

These are all descended from the same parents, Odtna. Rustic Ridge x Odcdm. Crowbororough. But the parents themselves are complex, and there is an enormous variation in the progeny. With the wonder of mericloning, we can enjoy the very different clones of this cross.

The Frequent Flowers Club

Most orchids bloom only once a year, or perhaps twice. But there are a few of my orchids that just keep producing flowers, one after the other, for months at a time, take a brief rest, then go at it again.
